National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Edits Ask-the-Contractor Teleconference (ACT) - MINUTES

The West Region ACT call was conducted by Tanya Hardiman, Medicare Outreach Analyst for the West Region. The topic was National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Edits, which WPS Medicare selected based on the high number of rejections received through data analysis.
Tanya began the teleconference by introducing herself. She was joined by other members of the Provider Outreach and Education (POE) team, along with members of the Customer Service and Appeals departments. The introductions were followed by a brief description of the information available on the WPS Medicare Website. Participants were encouraged to sign up for the WPS Medicare and CMS electronic mailing lists.
The introductory discussion was followed by a review of the presentation that had been e-mailed to the registered teleconference participants prior to the call.
At the conclusion of the presentation, the line was opened for questions from the audience.
There were no questions.
